Our People

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

Meet Our Board

Yvonne Hong, Founder, CEO and Chairperson
Yvonne is the founding director of Pets of the Homeless (POTH). After several years managing and supporting various pet rescue groups, Yvonne started POTH as a passion project in July 2015 to respond to the joint welfare needs of people facing homelessness and their much-loved pets.  As CEO and Chairperson, Yvonne is considered both the face and the driving force of the organisation, managing POTH’s operations, fundraising, communications and marketing. Her passion for her community and the welfare of others extends beyond POTH, where Yvonne is also a board member of the Patterson Lakes Community Centre.
Ellen Lim, Treasurer
Ellen is another founding director of Pets Of The Homeless. Ellen is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow at ACCA UK with a broad experience working in various industries especially in start up companies. She specialises in financial planning and analysis and is able to think ahead and suggests solutions to tackle issues, both current and foreseeable.
Leanne Vasilevska, Secretary
Leanne joined the board in January 2018 as Secretary. Leanne brings extensive community programs and grants experience in the not-for-profit and public sectors, including five years within housing and homelessness in Victoria.  She recognises that Pets of the Homeless is vital in bridging the current gap in specific services available for vulnerable pet owners and their beloved companion animals in our communities. Leanne is committed to Pets of the Homeless’  prosperity and strengthening it’s reach and impact to effect sustainable outcomes for vulnerable pets and their owners.
Tricia Liew, Director
Tricia has extensive experience with working with organisations to explore and implement new ways of doing business that drive change and innovation to build growth capabilities across strategy, process and culture.  Her love for animals and desire to share her commercial skill set to help those in need led Tricia to volunteer at Pets of the Homeless. Tricia joined the board in March 2018.
