Next year will mark a whole decade since Yvonne Hong first set out to help vulnerable people and pets in need.
To mark this special milestone, you are invited to join Yvonne on a transformative 10 Day Hike for Hope expedition through Sumatra in July 2025 to help us raise funds to keep best friends together.
An island in Indonesia, Sumatra is known for its rugged, tropical terrain, incredible wildlife (think orangutans and hornbills!) and active volcanoes.
On this once-in a lifetime guided trek, you'll travel alongside Yvonne and a small group of like-minded supporters to help raise vital funds for Pets Of The Homeless. All funds raised will help to keep vulnerable people and pets together by providing pet food, supplies, veterinary care and safe shelter to those who need it most.
Sumatra is home to orangutans, gibbons, hornbills, striped rabbits, birds, and butterflies.
On this unforgettable adventure, you’ll share the jungle with these beautiful, wild creatures and learn a lot about the way of life in the rainforest from knowledgeable Sumatran locals.
You'll trek across steady terrain, through lush jungle and between towering trees. Camp alongside a rainforest river and sleep under the stars, and then leave your mark on Sumatra by planting local tropical trees.
And best of all, your fundraising efforts will help Pets Of The Homeless with our critical work to ensure that the strong bonds between people and their pets are never broken.
