The 13th of November marks the biggest day of the year for Pets Of The Homeless - our annual ‘Never Tear Them Apart’ Giving Day Appeal.
And with all gifts being tripled, your generosity will have three times the impact for people and their pets facing hardship.
As times get more challenging for so many people, like Markham, who needed surgery to help his beloved dog Ahsoka, the need for our service continues to grow. However, we've also seen a decrease in donations that help us sustain our services.
This is why our Giving Day is so important. It helps to magnify the effort of collective giving, as every dollar donated is triple matched, enabling us to have three times the impact.
The past few years have seen incredible support for this annual event thanks to our big-hearted community who dug deep to help out.
Thanks to this support, over the last year we have:
- Distributed 551,479 meals to feed thousands of pets through 65 community partner organisations
- Treated 391 pets with the urgent veterinary care they need
- Desexed 266 dogs and cats through our subsidised desexing initiative, Fix-A-Friend
- Provided 169 pets with a safe shelter through our foster care/emergency boarding programs
