Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our amazing community and gift matchers, the 2024 Never Tear Them Apart Giving Day Appeal was our biggest one yet, raising over $400,000 for people and pets in need.
When we first set our target at $300,000 we had high hopes that this could make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable people and their pets for the year ahead. We knew that times were tough for many, and felt nervous about whether we would make it. So we were truly blown away when we far exceedeed this goal!
It was truly humbling and exciting to watch the donations pour in over the days leading up to our official Giving Day on Wednesday 13 November. We were moved to tears as the tally steadily climbed, knowing the profound difference this generosity will make in keeping best friends together.
A heartfelt thank you to our gift matchers
We want to extend a special thank you to the incredible Giving Day Matchers whose support was instrumental in helping us achieve this record-breaking total. Their triple matched donations sparked an outpouring of support that helped us reach—and surpass—our goals.
A very special shoutout goes to Scratch, our major partner for this year's appeal. Scratch generously pledged to match donations up to $35,000 which was a huge boost - and then they added a further $7,129 to help us reach our stretch target of $400,000!
Community Support: the heart of the appeal
One of the most heartwarming parts of the appeal was seeing our community come together in such a big way. We saw countless people sharing our posts on social media, tagging us, and spreading the word. Their enthusiasm and passion made all the difference, helping to amplify our message and extend our reach to new supporters.
We are very grateful to have such a compassionate community that backs us every step of the way. Every post, every share, every donation has made an immeasurable impact, and we couldn’t have done it without them.
